Code Red's last performance opening for The Frank Hannon Band  (Tesla) At
Constable Jack's saw John Morris(guitarist for Code Red) doing triple duty
as Flamenco soloist, Code Red acoustic unplugged, and recording engineer
for Frank's live album. John and Frank brought in a bunch of his recording
gear and the crew came away with some incredible tracks! Then John and
Frank next jumped in to Tanglewood Studios (John 's studio) and spent a
grueling 28 hrs mixing the live tracks down before Frank left on a Tesla
tour
. News Flash!!! Frank has invited John to sit in with the band this
weekend Feb 12 at Cashe Creek Casino for the CD release party. Come on out!
Code Red returns to Constable Jack's in New Castle April 16th for a
slammin' gig. Opening the gig with be the Atomic Kings, a 80's type band
with original members of Steele Breeze. Remember they're 80's hit ”You Don't
Want Me Anymore”? Put that one on your calendar!
Also, Mark Earle owner of the Boardwalk, has asked Code Red to open for
Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights at the end of March. Stay tuned for
the date.

Code Red's Cd is here !
Sacramento’s “
Code Red” is finally done! Founder John Morris, and  veteran players Regy Red, Steve Marsh and Juan Ortiz can get to business of the new CD. The project was produced by Morris’ friend and collaborator, rock legend Ronnie Montrose. Ronnie’s production duties ranged from dialing in the drums and tweaking the vocals to mixing and mastering the project.

Montrose, who played with the legendary
Edgar Winter Band before forming his band “Montrose” and later Gamma, spent countless hours with John at Ronnie Montrose West Studios getting just that right tone for the guitars.

The upcoming album features work by
Frank Hannon of Tesla on a dual guitar solo with John on CD track. “Lucy.” John has tried this out for a few of his “guitar-shredder” buddies, and the word is “Thumbs Up!!”

Jeff Watson, guitarist for Night Ranger and long time friend John, tossed his guitar "hat in the ring" in August . Jeff cut the solo track on "Rebellion" at his state-of-the-art studio in Mill Valley. John had a blast at Jeffs  "Camp Studio", checking the wall of platinum and gold albums. John was surprised and unaware of Jeffs work with Chris Issak. When all was said and done, Jeff had a blazin' solo that, finished with a finger tap tribute to Edgar Winters "Frankenstein". Whoa!!!!  Don't forget to check out Jeffs website www.wireonfire.com/jeffwatson/
