“Code Red" Studio/CD release update:
Sacramento band, “Code Red” has now completed their self-same titled album after many long hours of work at Tanglewood Studios. To quote John Morris (the band’s founder and guitarist) “This project is so close to home, we needed to do it right.” The project was produced by Morris’ friend, rock legend guitarist/producer Ronnie Montrose. Ronnie’s production duties ranged from “dialing in the drums”, “tweaking vocals”, mixing and mastering the project, etc.. “Ronnie called upon his favorite graphic artist, Deborah Hayner, for album design/coordination and we’re very happy with her work!” said Morris.

Working with veteran Sacramento players, Steve Marsh and Juan Ortiz, Morris called upon longtime friend, Regy Red for vocals and lyrics. John had previously worked on a project with Regy in the 90's that made a lasting impression on him. The album features a bonus track from those sessions. “Come to me” from the album features John paying tribute to the recording techniques of Jimi Hendrix. Code Red’s click between John and Regy was evident from the start when they steamrolled through the song writing sessions, yielding an additional eight new songs.

John and Ronnie are bustin’ tracks in Ronnie’s Studio. With one solo, vocal track, and  mixdown  left, Code Red’s Master should be done by the middle of April. Yeah!!! CD to follow shortly.
